Do you carry cruelty-free products?
Yes! All of our Kevin Murphy, R+Co, Framesi, and DevaCurl products are cruelty-free. The majority of these products are also certified vegan.
What hair color line do you use?
We use Kevin Murphy Color.Me. Color.Me is PPD free, ammonia Free, naturally derived, and cruelty free. For brighter, "fashion colors" we use Joico.
Is there a difference between a trim and a cut?
In most cases, there is not a difference. How much hair you’re taking off does not have an impact on the length of the appointment time. We still need to be sure that your cut is precise and even (especially if this is your first visit!), and every cutting service includes the wash, blow dry, and style.
Do I need a credit card to make an appointment?
In certain situations we ask that you we do ask that you have a valid credit card or debit card on file to guarantee your appointment. This is usually the case when you have scheduled a more involved service that would get scheduled for 3 or more hours. This could be for a keratin treatment, a bridal party, or even some color services. If you don't have a credit or debit card available, you can leave a cash or check deposit of 50% to schedule an appointment. That deposit would go towards the balance due when you are checking out after your appointment, but would be forfeited if you cancel in less than 24 hours or no-show.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that clients let us know 24 hours in advance of their appointment if they need to cancel or make any changes. In the event that you cancel in less than 24 hours, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of your missed appointment. We confirm appointments 48 hours in advance in order to give you the opportunity to make changes if necessary. We try our best to be understanding of our clients' needs, while also protecting our stylists' time.
Do you prefer cash or credit payments?
While we accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, we definitely prefer cash payments (and tips!) when possible. That helps ensure your payment goes directly toward salon improvements instead of credit card fees.
How does your pricing work?
Our stylists are at different pricing levels, dependent on their skill levels and experience. The prices listed on our website are the base prices and may increase from there. We also do not charge by gender, we focus on each individual's hair length, and the complexity of the their desired service. In most cases we can give you an estimate when booking an appointment, and you can always discuss pricing during your stylist consultation before the service begins. I have a ton of hair. Will that change the service’s cost?
It might. If you have an exceptional amount of hair, or if it’s particularly thick or curly, we may have to add a few dollars to cover the cost of additional product used and time spent during your service.
Why didn’t you answer the phone?
Sorry! We’re doing our best with a single line, but we’re pretty good about calling back quickly if you leave us a voicemail.
I’m allergic to everything. Can I bring my own shampoo?
Of course! Feel free to bring in your own shampoo or styling products, and our stylists will be happy to accommodate your needs.
Do you offer straightening and smoothing treatments?
We currently offer Lasio Keratin Treatments. We do not currently offer relaxers.
Why are you sometimes closed on Mondays?
For in-salon classes! Bridgett and other master stylists teach everything from haircutting basics to advanced haircoloring techniques, and often these are scheduled on Mondays.
Can I leave my children unattended with you?
No. Because the salon is filled with hot tools, sharp tools, and chemicals, please make sure that your children are not left unattended, even if they’re the ones getting the service. While children also love running through the salon because of how open it is, this is disruptive to guests that are interested in a relaxing experience.
